They were buying anything they could find. Prior to the British withdrawal from Palestine in 1948 Jewish agents were combing Europe for rifles. Gun is NOT import marked and has all matching serial numbers including barrel and stock. Rifle has the rare “crossed rifles and bullseye” accuracy marking on the left side of the barrel shank. Very good condition WWI Italian Model 1891 Carcano rifle in 6.5 x 52mm caliber that was manufactured by Terni Arsenal in 1918, as marked on the barrel.Other than that, there are no markings visible except the same Serial Number stamped in the butt stock side. Serial Number is RA XXXXX and on the top of the breech is PNA-R.
